Hello! The first passage out of the three starting with "...and we all with unveiled face..." Made me naturally think of Moses's experience with God. What do you think this means in our experience as we interact with the Savior? We don't get to meet Him and talk to Him as a friend (not yet anyway),, but we have the Holy Spirit which Moses did not have.
Hey, Lori! That's a great point thanks for sharing. Yeah, I believe that's exactly what Paul had in mind here. He's saying that, in a sense, we have it BETTER than Moses since we have the Holy Spirit. The context makes this clear since Paul is bringing a teaching of the ministry of the Spirit in the new covenant which causes non-believers to have a veil removed so that they can now understand who God is as revealed in the Scriptures. If someone is rejecting Christ, the veil remains just like Israel in the OT when they tried looking at Moses. But we all who are believers have an unveiled face to behold God in His Word and can now know Him even deeper than the Israelites on Sinai! So practically, this means daily and weekly by means of the Word of God, Baptism and the Lord's Supper, and prayer, we are seeing more deeply the glory of the Lord and therefore, are being transformed into Christ's likeness.
