Israel, the Church, "Replacement Theology," and the People of God w/Pastor Chris Gordon

An interview on Covenant Theology & the true "people of God"

The nation of Israel has made its way into headlines, conversations, and onto picket signs held up by local protestors just down the street from where I live.

Why the recent attention? Of course, it’s not just recently, but the nation-state of Israel seems to be a topic of conversation in every generation. And particularly for Christians in 21st-century America, this brings up questions like: Is Israel central to God’s prophetic and redemptive plan? Should Christians behave differently towards Israel than any other nation? Are there two distinct plans for Israel and the church? What is covenant theology? Is it replacement theology? Is replacement theology a real thing, or are Christians being warned about a bogeyman that doesn’t exist?

But I think at the heart of all these questions is this one: Will God be faithful to His promises and His people?

I had the privilege of interviewing Pastor Chris Gordon of Escondido United Reformed Church on the importance of Israel, the Church, and Covenant Theology. If you ever wondered who God’s chosen people truly are, this conversation is for you!
